FAQ
They're fun. And relaxed. And comfortable. And warm. And inviting. It's important to me that they're not intimidating, shaming, embarrassing, boring, 'judgey', critical or anxiety-inducing.You are my guest and I want you to come away having thoroughly enjoyed yourself and feeling excited to put your new learnings into practice.
I really enjoy working with small groups of ladies (minimum of two and maximum of five in a group).Working with ladies in small group settings enables everyone to learn from others' questions and experiences. It's also more cost efficient, fun and, if you didn't already know the other ladies at the table, you will feel you've made some new friends by the end of your session. However, if you prefer not to be part of a group, I do offer premium one-to-one consultations too.
SCHEDULED GROUPSI set dates throughout the year for all my workshops (groups). There are dates scheduled over weekdays and weekends. You're able to add yourself to any of these workshops (subject to availability).
PRIVATE GROUPSAlternatively, you might have a friend or two/three/four and you'd like to all book in together to create a private group of your own. You can choose the option that works best for you.
Yes!I sell a range of vegan-based makeup in a range of colours to suit warm and cool skin tones. My lipsticks are particularly popular and there's an opportunity to try on different colours during my Colour Analysis sessions. At the time of writing, you can buy the makeup through me, in person. However, my plan is that you'll be able to purchase any of the makeup through my website in the not too distant future. Exciting!
No, in practice I work with women of all ages.My specialist niche area is women over forty because dressing for women in this age bracket is something that I get and I have lived experience of all the hang-ups and issues the middle-ageing process brings. That said, I often work with women in their twenties and thirties. The youngest age I work with is 16. I don't have an 'oldest age' limit!
I work with the Absolute Colour System which is a unique and highly nuanced system that has 18 different 'seasons'. This system is based on the original Four Seasons system but captures all different variations of warmth, coolness, darkness, lightness, brightness and softness. The Absolute Colour System is a modern and more sophisticated system which guarantees you'll receive a swatch of 50 colours that best harmonise with your own natural colouring.

My studio is up a fairly steep flight of stairs, so accessibility would very much depend on your level of disability. Access to the building is accessible for people in wheelchairs - as is the public toilet.Unfortunately, access to my studio is not wheelchair friendly. However, if you're not able to access my studio and you'd like to work with me, let's chat about other venue options: kate@colourmekate.com.au
My studio is located above a popular café. You can order refreshments on your arrival before the consultation begins and the lovely cafe staff will bring your order up to you in my studio. We also take a short break during a consultation, so there's an opportunity to place an order at that time, too.
